I'm the lead singer and guitarist of the band...here's a bit of background info for you.

Back in high school (1983-1988) me and a few buddies got together and formed a rock band. We were all band geeks, so we named ourselves Matrix. The meaning of Matrix is "one within another" so we were in essence one band within another band. Once we graduated high school, we went our separate ways to university and we disbanded.

Well, we got older. Most of us got married, some of us have kids, most of us are still married, but life, as busy as it gets, moves on. Our singer moved to New Zealand.

Fast forward to the eve of 2005. The 4 of us still in the country ended up at the same New Years Eve party and we got to talking. We decided to start up again to see if we could still play...and the rest is history. I became the lead singer (I used to to do the back-up vocals) and hired a vocal coach. We'd get together 2 times a month to see if we could still play and the videos and audio on this site is what we have accomplished.

Now...since Keanu Reeves and the Matrix came out, we've realized we have to change our name..... After lots of input from the YouTube user community, and some outside help, we have settled on the name GRIDLOCK. Thanks everyone!
